We know nothing about Denise Barre except that she was (probably) a native of St-Langis in the Mortagne, born about 1535-1540, and married to Adrian Crête or Creste around 1555 - no doubt in the church pictured above. Her burial took place in St-Langis in February 1570. Her daughter Raoulline married Jean Baril in St-Langis in March 1574; their daughter Julienne was the wife of Marin Boucher, one of the earliest emigrants to New France.
