Mathurine Navarre was the wife of David Feillard, a miller in the town of Tourouvre (Mortagne) in the late sixteenth century. They were married in November 1594 at the parish church of St-Aubin (above). Their daughter Jacqueline married Odouard Lambert of Tourouvre and was the mother of Aubin Lambert dit Champagne, who emigrated in to Québec 1662. See Lambert for descendants. Aubin's great-great-great-granddaughter was Louise Boucher Martin. The Feillard family tree goes back no further than David, but Mathurine's is better documented. The earliest known ancestor is Galeran Navarre of Tourouvre, born about 1525; his wife's name is unknown but they had a son, Aubin, who married Michelle, daughter of Pierre Pelletier (died before 1567) and Jeanne Moulin, in November 1554. Aubin and Michelle both died before 1613. |
