Olivier

This family came from Caudebec-en-Caux in Normandy, near Le Havre. William Turner painted the place in 1832 (above). Jean Olivier married Louise Prévost there probably in the 1640s; we know of one daughter, Marie-Madeleine, who came to Québec in 1667 as a fille du roi and almost immediately married Thomas Rousseau (October 5, 1667, in Québec city). She died in the parish of St-Laurent, Île d'Orléans, on April 21, 1690, age about 41.

For her children see Rousseau.
