Pineau

Sieurs de Moulineaux

Nicolas-Mathurin Pineau, Sieur de Moulineaux, lived in the village of Feings in Perche (Normandy). One source gives his father's name as Ambroye but I find no documentation, other than the fact that "Ambroye Pineau" was put in charge of the mills at Feings in 1478. His wife's name was Valentine Gadois or Gadoua. We know of two children born in the 1570s: Hercule, known as the sieur de Mallard, and Nicole (1577-1608), who married Gilles Chevalier, sieur de Marres, in about 1599. See Chevalier.
