Savard

François Savard and his wife Jeanne Moran or Morand (both born around 1610-1615) lived in the parish of St-Aspaix (above) in Melun, just south of Paris. Their daughter Gillette (born 1648?) became a "fille du roi" in 1665, for reasons we do not know. She married the recent immigrant Pierre Filteau on February 22, 1666 at Québec city. Pierre died in 1699, and his wife in 1703. They lived on the Île d'Orléans, in the parish of St-Jean. See Filteau for descendants.

Simon Savard of Montreuil (just north of Paris) also emigrated to Québec in 1663, and founded a large family; but I cannot find a connection between the two.
